From 6 - 11 December, CNN pays tribute to the laureates of this distinguished prize with three in-depth programmes dedicated to the Nobel Peace Prize winners past and present.

CNN's Insight - in a one-hour special edition - will feature the history of founder Alfred Nobel and the Nobel Peace Prize on Thursday 6 December at 5:30 PM followed by a repeat show on Friday, 7 December at 4:30 PM, and also at 8:30 am and 7:30 PM on Saturday, 8 December.

Another special on previous Nobel Peace Prize winners in discussion with chief international correspondent Christiane Amanpour will be aired at 7:30 PM on Sunday 9 December.

Concluding the series is The 'Prize for Peace' - a one-hour in-depth live interview hosted by Jonathan Mann in conversation with 2001 Nobel laureate Kofi Annan that will be aired on Monday, 10 December 2001 at 9:30 PM followed by a repeat show on Tuesday, 11 December at 9:30 am.
