CNN is to broadcast a week of coverage dedicated to the World Economic Forum's annual meeting in Davos , Switzerland , including documentaries, live debate, interviews and regular news updates. Anchors Richard Quest, Becky Anderson and Charles Hodson will be reporting live on location as the week's events develop.
Coverage includes a special two-hour network event titled “ Europe 's identity crisis” which culminates in a CNN CONNECTS global forum before a live audience. A prestigious panel of experts will brainstorm and debate how European nations can effectively embrace different faiths and cultures. CNN anchor Becky Anderson hosts the one-hour special, which features guests including Ali Babacan, Minister of State for the Economy of Turkey, and Günter Verheugen, European Commission Vice-president and Commissioner for Enterprise and Industry .
Supporting CNN CONNECTS is an hour-long documentary hosted by CNN correspondent Karl Penhaul. In EUROPE'S IDENTITY CRISIS , Penhaul travels across the continent visiting France , Germany , Ireland , the Netherlands and Spain , examining life through an immigrant's eyes, and investigating how nations have reacted to the increasing tide of migrant workers.
In addition, a special program THIS WEEK AT DAVOS brings all the events into perspective in a half hour round-up. THIS WEEK AT DAVOS features interviews with the Director General of the WTO Pascal Lamy and CEO of Motorola Edward Zander, while also looking at some of the more intriguing round-tables and odder happenings at the Swiss mountain village.
