Five weeks after the MTV Star Hunt was launched, the event, which marks the channel's foray into films, has received nearly 10,000 entries from over 350 cities across of the country, says a company release.
MTV, in association with Indiatimes.com and Coca-Cola, had launched a countrywide star hunt on 20 April for 11 fresh faces who would debut on the MTV-produced film Ishq Vishq Pyaar Vyaar, directed by Ken Ghosh.
The final entries for the star hunt closes on 30 June. Thereafter, between 200-250 entrants will be short-listed in the second round. Out of this list a final 11 will be taken on who will be the stars of Ishq Vishq Pyaar Vyaar. MTV is targeting a May 2002 launch for the film.
