ast night the Gloden Globe nominations were announced. In India it will be shown live on 20 January early in the morning on one of the Star channels. Interestingly earlier this year Star bought the rights for one of the films nominated from Canal Plus. The film is Mulholland Drive which is competing in the best Motion Picture drama category. 

Mira Nair's Monsoon Wedding has been nominated in the foreign language film category. Competition includes the French film Amelie. 

HBO picked up nominations in the mini series or motion picture made for television for Conspiracy, Band of Brothers and Wit with Emma Thompson (Sense and Sensibility).
