TV producers, channel executives, technicians and artistes from all over India are slated to assemble at The ITC Grand Maratha Ball Room in Mumbai today to participate and cheer their colleagues as they receive recognition for their performances in 2003-2004 at the Indian Telly Awards - Trade, Technical & Programming Nite. The Awards ceremony is slated to start at 7 PM..
The Indian Telly Awards - Trade, Technical & Programming Nite seeks to reward excellence in the fields which usually do not grace the limelight, but nevertheless contribute in a major way to the overall performance of a television channel. .Golden Telly statuettes for nearly 62 categories - including scriptwriting, videography, editing, special effects, ad sales, marketing and distribution - will be handed out at the glittering function which will witness an array of performances too.
TV actors Nigar Khan, Jaspreet Kaur have been lined up to put up scintillating dance acts while pop singer Shivani Kashyap will get your feet tapping. Johnny Lever's brothr Jimmy Moses is slated to offer comic relief while channel [V] band Aasma will belt out their best.
The show is to be hosted by Sonali Verma, Channel V VJ Gaurav Kapoor and Etc VJs Amit Khanna and Prachee Mehta.

The Indian Telly Awards - Trade Technical & Programming Nite serves as a curtain raiser for the Main Edition of the Indian Tellys, The Indian Telly Awards 2004 - Popular Gala at which around 30-odd categories will be recognised and rewarded.
