MUMBAI: After a stint of almost 12 years, Zee TV non-fiction head Ashish Golwalkar has decided to move on.

Golwalkar?s last day at Zee is 24 August.

"Yes, I have quit. I am taking a break before I move on to my next venture," Golwalkar told Indiantelevision.com.

In 2008, Golwalkar was made non-fiction head and has been responsible for creating properties like Dance India Dance.

"Golwalkar?s innings at Zee has been very fruitful. He is leaving at a time when DID has got its peak rating of 8 TVR and the channel has become No.1 for the week ended 18 August," said a Zee official who did not want his name to be revealed.
