MUMBAI: The country's first private DTH service Dishtv has launched a "mobile service" targeting long-distance bus and tour operators, ships, cruises and even trains.
The service, called Mobile DTH, was successfully installed last week on Indian Navy ship INS Delhi at Mumbai port and will soon be on Asia’s biggest ship Viraat, a company release states.
The release quotes DishTV CEO Sunil Khanna as saying, "We have launched dish mobile in the country, so as to enable viewers enjoy their favourite programmes, even when they are on the move."
He further added, "Some Bollywood stars have already got the mobile dish installed on their make-up vans or cars and we are getting a lot of enquires from SUV owners for the same. World reputed DC Designs has also joined hands with us to make it a part of their designer cars."
