NEW DELHI: Zee Telefilms vice-chairman Jawahar Goels 20-something daughter, Sarika Gupta, died here last evening at the Apollo Hospital of suspected dengue.
 

Sarika, niece of media baron Subhash Chandra, had got married a few months back in Delhi.
The cremation took place in the forenoon in Delhis Nigambodh Ghat according to Hindu rites.

According to Jawahar Goel, his daughters condition worsened in the family home in Ludhiana on Saturday. Subsequently, she was admitted to Apollo Hospital on Sunday where her condition was said to be improving. But on Monday afternoon, Sarikas condition, Goel said, took a turn for the worst.

Tragedy struck the Goel family at a time when it was preparing for the marriage of Atul Goel, son of Jawahars other brother Laxmi N. Goel, on 6 November. All functions related to the marriage stand postponed.
