Mumbai: Akasa Air, India’s most dependable airline, joined hands with the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) to celebrate aviation security culture week, held from 31 July to 5 August 2023. In adherence to ICAO guidelines, this commemorative initiative aims to intensify security awareness and promote a positive security culture in aviation operations across the country. The initiative is designed to encourage the industry to prioritise security behaviours and practices, focusing on the principle that security is everyone's responsibility. The tagline of the event - ‘See it, Say it and Secure it’, urges everyone to be vigilant of their surroundings and raise alarms in case of suspicious activities.
In active participation and support of this initiative, Akasa Air is commencing a comprehensive campaign to raise awareness regarding security during the week. The leadership team and employees at all Akasa Air offices will join hands to announce and support this initiative. A range of activities has been planned, including pledge-taking ceremonies across offices and stations, on-ground awareness, digital amplification and masterclasses that will aim to sensitise both staffs across Akasa’s network. The airline will also be making
special announcements at the boarding gate and in-flight to uphold and promote a strong security culture among passengers.
