Zee Cinema launches fest to showcase South Indian movies
MUMBAI: Zee Cinema is launching ?South Ka Super Punch?, a two week festival to showcase the South Indian movies dubbed in Hindi.
The special show will hit the small screen on 29 April and will air Monday to Friday at 9 pm.
The time slot will air films starring actors including Venkatesh, Mahesh Babu, Nagarjuna and Ravi Teja. The audience will get to see movies like ?No. 1 Businessman?, ?Aag Ka Gola?, ?Aakhri Baazi Kasam Hindustan Ki?, ?The Real Tiger?, ?Aar Paar: The Judgement Day?, ?Warrior?, ?Durga IPS?, ?Hindustani Yodha? and ?Mera Krodh?.
The Hindi movie channel has recently launched a promo to promote the festival. It features a special rap song that has been composed in-house by the creative team at the channel, celebrating the ?larger-than-life? attributes of these films.
Zee Hindi movie cluster business head Mohan Gopinath said, "These films have been enormous successes down south and the lead actors are worshipped like demigods. Dubbed versions of south films have always rated extremely well each time we have aired these in the past and there is a strong demand for us to air more such films. Our previous festival of a similar nature ?Dosa Meets Samosa? had met with an overwhelming response. We?re confident that the audience will enjoy the new festival too."
