Sab TV, NDTV among Asian TV award winners

MUMBAI: Singapore's Asian Television Awards 2003 has got the good times rolling for the Indian television industry.
The awards announced recently, named SAB TV's show Court Martial the best Current Affair programme of the year. CNN's show Jihad in Asia was announced the runner up in the category. Other nominees included BBC and Singapore TV

Indian news channel New Delhi Television's (NDTV) talk show The Big Fight 's debate on 'Is sex finally out of the closet in India' won the award for Best Talkshow. The runner up in this category was Xing Kong Late Night Talks in Star Group's Chinese channel Xing Kong.
Also NDTV's Arnab Goswami, anchor of News Night, was named the runner up in the Best News Presenter or Anchor category.
Besides these, MTV India's Pushkamela was named the runner up in the Best Infotainment Programme category; Star Group's Ak...Tion Unlimited Josh on Star Plus was the most commended show in the Best Drama Series category.
