MUMBAI: The music genre in Hindi-speaking market (HSM) led the pack with a growth of 0.4 per cent with Sony Mix at the top of the chart with 90.8 per cent opportunity to see (OTS) in week 40 reported by Chrome Data Analytics and Media. Second on the list is the religious HSM, which witnessed 0.2 per cent growth. Aastha bagged the pole position in the section with 98.6 per cent OTS.
Amongst the losers this week were -- sports, English movies, kids and Hindi news genres. The sports section across India witnessed a drop of 2.4 per cent with DD sports securing the first position with 90.9 per cent OTS. English movies in six metros dropped by 2.1 per cent with Movies Now securing the top slot with 49.1 per cent OTS.
The kids genre across India dropped by 1.2 per cent. Cartoon Network with 81.3 emerged as the most affected channel in the genre. This was followed by the Hindi news genre, which saw a fall of 0.8 per cent and bagged the fourth berth with India TV leading the tally with 98.3 OTS.
