SC to hear ESPN case in January

NEW DELHI: ESPN Star Sports' woes continue. The Supreme Court will hear ESS' appeal against a Kerala high court order sometime in January.

This would mean that ESS has no other option but to share the India-Bangladesh cricket one-dayers, at present underway, with pubcaster Doordarshan as directed by the high court.

An ESS executive, seemingly sounding dejected, did admit today that the apex court would hear their Special Leave Petition in January and that DD would also share the feeds from Bangladesh.

During the first one-dayer, played on Thursday, DD carried an ESPN feed, complete with advertisements booked by ESS and its logo.
