MUMBAI: Naukri.com in association with CNBC TV18 is all set feature a reality format show on job hunt named, Job Show. The Job Show will be hosted by the Britannia Industries former managing director and CEO Sunil Alagh.
Alagh will speak on some of the hottest jobs in the market today. The Job Show, a 26-episode show and shall begin to air from February 2006 onwards on every Saturday with a repeat show on Sunday afternoon.
According to an official release, interested applicants can apply after which their application will be sent to the HR department of the respective company. The companies will then shortlist the candidates on the basis of their criteria. During this process the company might contact the applicants for an e-test or a telephonic interview.
Naukri.com and CNBC will announce the names of the five shortlisted candidates, ten days from the close of the call for applications. These candidates will then be flown to Mumbai, where the episodes will be shot. The selected candidates get a chance to not only bag a dream job but also to appear on television.
While on TV, there will be five rounds conducted by none other than Sunil Alagh and two senior mangement executives from the recruiting company. Results will be declared at the end of each episode.So, within a span of 30 minutes, candidates will walk away with their dream job.

Apply Procedure
1. On the Job Show Home Page (www.naukri.com/jobshow), click on the Company's Logo or the Job Offer. There will be a detailed description and the requirements for that particular job after which just click on the "Apply Now" button on the bottom of the page.
2.Thereafter the applicant can login by their naukri.com id and apply using their CV
3. Not registered? Not a problem. This page has a link where applicants can apply by filling up a small form and pasting their CV without registering.
Rounds on TV
Round 1: Introduction
" Each participant introduces themselves
" The scoring is done by judges on criterion like confidence, attitude, brevity etc
" At the end of the round, no participant is dropped, instead they are rated on a scale of 100
Round 2: Knowledge
" Each participant is asked 5 questions each
" The questions are asked by the 3 judges
" Questions could be general knowledge, industry specific, job specific etc.
" The participants are scored out of 100.
" At the end of this round, 2 contenders are dropped
Round 3: JAM & Extempore
" Each participant is given a topic on the spot and he is expected to speak impromptu for 60 seconds
" The scoring is done by judges on criterion like confidence, clarity of thought & speech, attitude, presence, etc.
" At the end of the round, 1 more participant is dropped, and we continue to the next round with 2 participants
Round 4: Stress test & Final Interview
" Stress Games
o Case based- For e.g., survival on a boat
o Each contender presents their case to the judges in semi-discussion format
" Final Interview
o Each judge will ask each participant 1 question & will be allowed to ask 1 counter question, if necessary
o Questions will be real life interview questions.
o The participants are asked to present their closing argument in 30 seconds and will have to justify why they should be chosen for the job
Finally
" Judges will declare the winner.
" They will explain the reasons for selecting a candidate and advice the losing candidate.
" The winner will be handed the appointment letter by the HR head.
