MUMBAI: FremantleMedia North America (FMNA) CEO Tom Gutteridge has put in his papers. FMNA is the LA-based production business of international content creator FremantleMedia.

Gutteridge has decided to return to the UK for personal reasons. However he will act as a creative consultant on some of the US projects that he initiated during his time at FMNA.

FremantleMedia Enterprises Regional CEO, USA, Australasia & Asia Catherine Mackay has been appointed as acting CEO and will manage the US operation until a replacement is found. A formal search process is now under way.

During his time running FremantleMedia's LA production business, Gutteridge introduced a number of creative initiatives to develop new comedy and reality formats. Mackay said, "Tom's initiatives in comedy and factual entertainment have really helped broaden the range of FremantleMedia's programming in the US. We appreciate his reasons for leaving and wish him well in the future."
