Yahoo! Movies expands coverage of Academy Awards

Yahoo! Movies

LOS ANGELES: Yahoo! Movies which claims to be the Number one movie site on the Web has announced the launch of its comprehensive coverage of the 2003 Academy Awards (http://movies.yahoo.com/oscars).

Yahoo! Movies brings fans complete coverage of the biggest awards show of the year. In India the show airs live on 24 March on Star Movies the day after the world cup gets over.

Yahoo!'s coverage will include up-to-the-minute news updates, Red Carpet celebrity photo galleries and several awards-related games including the fourth annual Awards Challenge, which provides Yahoo! users with the tools to create their own Oscar pool with friends and family.

Yahoo! Movies will countdown to the big night with extensive photo galleries of past ceremonies and in-depth information on every movie and nominee category, including select trailers and video clips from nominated films. Fans that have not caught all of the performances up for awards can also get in the know on Yahoo! Movies with biographies, photos, video clips and reviews on every nominee.

On Oscar night, movie fans can stay tuned to Yahoo! Movies for real-time coverage of Red Carpet arrivals, updates on the winners in each category, Awards Challenge results and photos from the biggest post-awards parties.

The musical Chicago leads the Oscar pack with 13 nominations followed by Martin Scorceces Gangs of New York with 10 nominations.
