MUMBAI: Search engine major Yahoo! India has appointed Star TV online editor Deepak Karambelkar as its head of production and content. Karambelkar will take charge of his new responsibilities with immediate effect.
In his role as head of production and content, he will be responsible for redrawing the content contours on Yahoo! India, an official release said.
As a part of Yahoo! India's local content strategy, Karambelkar will be responsible for building more local and relevant properties for Yahoo! India which include news, finance, movies, cricket and music.
Karambelkar has earlier worked with The Times of India and the Indian Express group of newspapers, besides being a television correspondent for TV Today, run by the India Today Group, states the official release.
