Leading singers like Bombay Rockers, Stereo Nation, Daler Mehndi, Sukhwinder are to perform in Dubai.
New Delhi November 7, 2005…Brilliant Entertainment Networks, a leader in the entertainment industry today announced the launch of the Second World Bhangra Concert. The Concert, the biggest of its kind is scheduled to be held in Dubai on November 10, 2005 at the Dubai Country Club.
The concert will witness some of the biggest Punjabi and Indi-pop music icons like Daler Mehndi, Sukhbir, Rabbi, Stereo Nation, Baba Sehgal, Anamika, Jassi, Mikka, Bombay Rockers, amongst others performing together live to an audience of over 25000 people.
According to Mr. Raman Raheja, Director, Brilliant Entertainment Networks, "In our endevour to create big platforms for Indian music and to take it to new heights and give the Indian music artists a big boost in the International Concerts Industry, we first chose the biggest selling music of India (outside Bollywood)-Punjabi Pop - Bhangra and got together the biggest, most powerful, ever popular and appealing names from the industry on one stage, one show. World Bhangra Concert in May'04 featured 15 of the best names like Daler, Harbhajan, Jassi, Hansraj, Stereo Nation, etc to perform together."
The artists adorned the stage and mesmerized a gathering of 25,000 enthusiasts. The project made big news and featured on front pages of leading newspaper dailies besides making news worldwide with leading news channels covering the same.
Added Mr. Samir Kasal, Director, Brilliant Entertainment Networks, "Seeing the overwhelming success of the project, we decided to make this an annual feature and take it across the globe and zeroed in on Dubai as the first international destination for the same."
