MUMBAI: Star News is banking on a range of Snell and Wilcox IQ modular products to broadcast its news programming efficiently and economically.
Snell and Wilcox's intelligent infrastructure products act as the main artery of the studio providing conversion, processing, distribution, encoding and monitoring of broadcast signals, thus ensuring that Star News accelerates its content delivery, an official release says.
Star News' production center in Mumbai is equipped with a range of Snell and Wilcox's modular products which cover digital, analog, audio, video and MPEG applications.
Snell & Wilcox Asia Pacific Limited managing director Mark Parlett was quoted in the release as saying, "Star News is the largest purchaser of Snell and Wilcox infrastructure products in India. Our engineers worked with Star News to configure, build and deploy its main signal carrying system in a record, three-month timeframe allowing the broadcaster to successfully meet its aggressive launch schedule."
The Snell and Wilcox IQ Modular range, with its choice of control interfaces, is designed to be the most versatile in broadcast operations and the easiest to configure and control.
