MUMBAI: Looks like kids programming is ready for some action. Claiming to offer a stiff competition to the Disney's brand of cartoons, the channel will launch a brand new kids' show Saahasa Baluru (Adventurous kids).

Scheduled to premiere on January 31 2004 at 4:30 pm, Saahasa Baluru is a weekend show. The show is produced by the multimedia & animation company Data Quest Entertainment (DQE) for ETV in Telegu. It is the animation companies maiden venture in television software.

The programme would be based on the worldwide hit shows such as The Three Bears, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz and The World of Tosh, says a DQE release.
