Prominent dignitaries pledge their support to News18 Network’s India Pedh Lagao campaign

Mumbai: News18 Network’s initiative, 'India Pedh Lagao', has been gaining momentum all over the country post its launch on Earth Day (22 April, 2023). The campaign has been receiving widespread support from common people as well as top political leaders, and is considered to be one of the largest tree plantation drives.

Prominent dignitaries such as chief minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan; deputy CM of Uttar Pradesh, Brajesh Pathak; former chief minister of Uttarakhand, Harish Rawat; minister of finance of Uttar Pradesh, Suresh Kumar Khanna; speaker of the Punjab legislative assembly, Kultar Singh Sandhwan; and many others have joined hands with News18 Network and pledged to support the cause and contribute towards greener earth.

The ‘India Pedh Lagao’ campaign aims to promote environmental sustainability by encouraging people to plant more trees and make a positive impact on the environment. As part of the campaign, News18 Network has introduced a ‘Treefie Challenge’, where individuals can share a selfie with a tree or plant, tagging News18 social media pages. The best ‘Treefies’ will be showcased on-air, and winners will receive exciting prizes. The campaign aims to leverage the power of social media to spread awareness and create a positive impact.
