MUMBAI: Quoting the latest TAM figures, Zee News says it has grossed the highest on stickiness, with a timespend of 33 minutes per viewer, 33 per cent higher than Aaj Tak at 25 minutes and 43 per cent higher than NDTV India which is at 23 minutes.
Zee News recorded the highest channel share in Delhi, Mumbai, and Kolkata, while also dominating the Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Himachal belts, claims an official release.
In terms of channel shares Zee News recorded 23.7 per cent followed by Aaj Tak 23.1 per cent and NDTV 19.4 per cent in Hindi speaking markets (7pm to midnight). In the 9:30 pm to 10 pm band in weekdays. The Zee News programme Prime Time recorded 31 per cent channel share against Aaj Tak's 'Vishesh' which recorded 26.1 per cent share.
The presence of 15 Zee News programmes among top 50 indicates that the numbers have stemmed from a range of engaging programming, adds the release quoting TAM data for the week-ending 25 September, 39th week.
Zee Telefilms Limited News Group director Laxmi Goel has been quoted in the company release as saying, "The numbers are a confirmation of our effectiveness as a journalistic presence.
