MUMBAI: Sony Pictures Television International (SPTI) has announced that Ken Lo has been appointed VP, business development, Asia.
Based at SPTI's regional headquarters in Hong Kong, Lo will work closely with SPTI's Asia team to help nurture new strategic opportunities across the three lines of business - licensing, international production and international channels, with a focus on China.
SPTI Asia senior VP and MD Todd Miller said," Ken has a diverse background in advising multinationals in multiple industries on ways to grow their businesses in Asia. With his keen interest in media and entertainment there is no doubt of his importance to the team. We look forward cultivating new business opportunities under his direction."
Prior to joining SPTI Lo served as BDC & Company MD from 2001 to 2004. This is a consulting firm that specialises in market entry and strategic planning.
SPTI operates three complementary lines of business. They are the distribution of Sony Pictures Entertainment's feature films and television programming to television outlets around the world, local television production in key international markets, and international television networks such as AXN. SPTI operates over 35 networks in more than 100 countries reaching over 240 million viewers worldwide.
