MUMBAI: Tata AIG Life Insurance Company Ltd announced the winners of the StarKid Talent Search – the hunt for India’s best all-round child talent. The winners of the talent search were each awarded a scholarship of Rs 50,000.
StarKid Talent Search is a unique, nationwide talent search that seeks to identify and reward early signs of talent to allow parental focus and realization of a child’s potential. The method of evaluation of a child’s skills and talent has been developed by a panel of child psychologists and academicians in association with Tata AIG Life.
Hundred finalists were shortlisted from each city out of which three StarKids were awarded the scholarship of Rs 50,000 each. Through this talent search, Tata AIG Life has reached out to over 4,00,000 children across 1311 schools in 12 cities. In Mumbai, the ‘Star Kid Talent Search’ initiative has drawn the participation of more than 100 schools across the city.
Commenting on this unique initiative, Tata AIG Life Insurance Company Limited managing director, Ian Watts, said, "The StarKid Talent Search is an initiative that is aimed at nurturing the skills and talents of children. We believe that it is important to identify and nurture a child’s latent talent at an early stage to enable full realization of the child’s potential."
In Mumbai the three StarKid winners were Arham Praveen Jain, Anuj Jai Jeevan and Sanket Santosh Kadam were presented with the scholarship at an award ceremony officiated by Uncle Pai, Sonia Bhardwaj and Meenakshi Mukherjee.
The ‘StarKid Talent Search’ is an annual community initiative driven by Tata AIG Life. This year saw total of 36 StarKids across the country, with scholarships worth Rs 1.8 million being awarded to school kids from the age group of 4 to 9 years old.
