MUMBAI: 'While making a show for kids, children should benefit in more ways than just entertainment.' This thought has inspired producer Mahroo Shaikh whose production Paowan is being aired in the kiddy channel Hungama TV. So we have Shaikh sponsoring a girl child through one Mumbai based NGO Project Crayon.

During a shoot at Mumbai's Madh Island on 21 December, the Paowan team handed over a cheque to the 10-year old girl through Caryon. "With all the new children's channels coming in we hope athers follow our example," offers Mehta.

The adventure show revolves around a horse Poawan and his friendship with Rahul, a 10 years old boy.
