MUMBAI: Breakthrough Films & Television has commenced operations on the development of a new children‘s series starring Dudley the Dragon. Based on the company‘s children show The Adventures of Dudley the Dragon, the new animation will be crafted into a CGI series and will see Oscar nominated actor Graham return to the venture.  Joan Lambur said, "We’re very excited about giving the lovable Dudley and his friends a large-scale makeover and introducing the series to a new generation of kids’ audiences." |

Produced in 1993 by Breakthrough in association with TV Ontario, the original series was a combination of live action and puppetry featuring Dudley defined to be an affable, green and eight foot dragon that interacted with children through songs and stories. The original series has been licensed in over 180 territories including PBS in the US and Aboriginal Peoples Television Network in Canada. It has also won various awards including two Gemini Awards for Best Children‘s Programme/Series. |
