MUMBAI: The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) has granted Epic Television Networks two TV licenses.

The Anand Mahindra-owned network received the licenses in the non-news category under the channel names Epic HD and Showbox.

The network currently operates Epic TV, an infotainment channel. In October last year, the broadcaster had discontinued its HD feed in a bid to launch a separate HD channel.

Earlier this month, Epic ventured into the original digital short form content space in collaboration with Dailyhunt.
