MUMBAI: All set for the monsoons, they say. Zee's English entertainment arm is all geared to welcome the showers with two new show, The Adventures of Tin Tin and Gilmore Girls.

While the animated adventure series Tin Tin starts on 17 June at 8:30 pm, Gilmore Girls premieres on 22 June at 9 pm.

Commenting on these two shows Zee English, business head Abhijit Saxena was quoted in the release as saying, "Apart from comedy, which is our strong point, we have reworked our content to provide a mixed bag in order to garner a greater mass appeal. We have always stood up to our viewer's expectations and keeping the trend, this is another step in the same direction with the launch of two more new programs. The channel is not just targeting the kids but also adults and is looking to complement the action with family drama titles."

An animated adaption of the adventures of Herge's classic comic book hero The Adventures of TinTin, the series had made its debut on the Indian television on Cartoon Network.

The debut on Zee English marks this celebrated comic sleuth's 75th birthday. Gilmore Girls is often touted as America's favorite family sitcom. It is a drama around the relationship between a thirty-something attractive single mother and her equally attractive teenage daughter living in Stars Hollow, Connecticut, adds the release.
