MUMBAI: With the movie awards season scheduled to kick of next month the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) which hands out the Golden Globe Awards has announced that versatile actor Robin Williams will receive the lifetime achievement award the Cecil B. deMille Award at the 62nd annual edition of the Golden Globes.
The 62nd Golden Globe Awards takes place on 16 January 2005 and will air live in the US on NBC. In India the show will air live on Star World.
The Golden Globes will take place in the International Ballroom of the Beverly Hilton Hotel. The nominees will be announced next month. Films like Sideways, Kinsey, Finding Neverland and Martin Scorcese's upcoming biopic The Aviator are expected to feature in the list.
Williams has won the Golden Globe five times. He has also lost six times. Williams won an Oscar in 1997 for playing a therapist in Good Will Hunting.
