MUMBAI: Music speaks in ways that nothing else can. But, sometimes the life of a Musician beats the relevance to the old adage. Star World is all set to voice the legendary pop star Robbie William's rebellious journey to the top. The channel is airing William's autobiographical documentary Robbie Williams: The Show off Must Go On on 10 March at 9 pm.

The documentary tracks his rise as pop star, prankster and man in Robbie Williams.

A media release informs that the making of Robbie has always been less of a design, and more of an experiment. An experiment very much recorded in his songs - often termed 'too autobiographical' by detractors.

Through a frank and intimate interview with Robbie, the documentary envisages the stories, inspiration and motivations behind the tunes. From his first hit single Angels to his most recent album Escapology, the story of his life is revealed.

The documentary is packed with rare never-before-seen footage of studio sessions, location shoots, and live performances.

For the first time, Robbie reveals which song featured lyrics from his sister's poetry, and the poignant tale behind why She's The One is the only cover to be featured in his Greatest Hits album.

Never one to shy away from the ugly facts, the rebel pop icon also speaks honestly about his years dealing with drug and alcohol addictions, and how he felt when he finally broke loose of them.

From his days as the 'fat dancer' in the biggest boy band to hit town, to the fruitful solo collaboration with songwriter Guy Chambers and his eventual evolution into an accomplished musician and established star, Robbie Williams' cheeky grin always lets us in on the joke. Now, in a personal and celebratory account, he lets us in on the most seminal moments in his life.

The documentary will highlight how Williams got to where he is today, by doing what he does - entertain us.
