MUMBAI: The music soundtrack for the hit show Desperate Housewives will be released next month in the US. In India, the show airs on Star World.

Media reports indicate that pop star Shania Twain's new song Shoes will be featured. The soundtrack will also feature songs by Jewel, Aretha Franklin and Gloria Estefan. The music video of Shania Twain's song will feature the four leads from the show - Teri Hatcher, Marcia Cross, Felicity Huffmann and Eva Longoria.

The album features a host of previously unreleased covers, including the Indigo Girls' version of Simon And Garfunkel's Mrs. Robinson, Liz Phair's take on the Rolling Stones' Mother's Little Helper.

The second season of the show kicks off on September on US ABC.
