MUMBAI: BBC has announced that its recently launched game show Junior Mastermind in the UK has a winner - 10-year-old Daniel Parker. He answered questions on his specialist subject, James Bond villains, and general knowledge.
As reported last month by Indiantelevision.com, Junior Mastermind kicked off at the end of August on BBC One.
The show's host John Humphrys said: "I know it's the oldest cliché in the book, but they were all winners. They did wonderfully well - far better than I'd expected.
Daniel had answered questions on the Volkswagen Beetle in the first round match. However, he chose James Bond villains this time round. "I like the Bond films because of the action, the cars and the gadgets and I think the villains make up what the Bond film is today."
Parker used cards of the villains to revise for the programme. "I think Jaws is the best of the baddies." During the general knowledge round, Parker answered questions on football, Indian cuisine, the UK singles chart and American presidents.
