UTV Interactive restructures top rung management

MUMBAI: UTV Interactive, the digital arm of UTV Group, has restructured its top management in order to strengthen operations and focus on leveraging 3G and 4G opportunities.

UTV Broadcasting chief creative officer Zarina Mehta has been given additional responsibility of UTV Interactive chief creative officer. 
 
Mobile Content and IVR VP Lavina Tauro has been made head of the mobile division - 2G.

Recently appointed business head of 3G, Sameer Pitalwala, will continue to handle all 3G initiatives for the division.

According to UTV, this consolidation has been initiated to take advantage of the burgeoning interactive entertainment and to create synergies within the company so as to streamline and bring in more efficiency. 
 
These heads will report in to UTV Interactive (and UTV Broadcasting) CEO MK Anand. These personnel in their new capacities will continue to operate with their respective existing teams in the division.

Anand said, "UTV Interactive is on an aggressive growth path, where consolidation of our operations will work best and in favor of new business objective. With this we will be able to enhance our efficiency to create a stronger and more focused vision, scaling the business to the next level altogether."
