No capital raising need for Dish TV

MUMBAI: Dish TV has no requirement to raise capital even as it plans to add 3.5 million subscribers this financial year.

“There is sufficient capital to add four million subscribers. After that, the company should be free cash flow positive,” a media analyst said.

The direct-to-home company expects to swing into net profit this fiscal.

Dish TV pared its standalone net loss for the fiscal ended 31 March 2011 to Rs 1.9 billion, down from Rs 2.62 billion a year ago, as it posted robust revenue and subscriber growth.

"We should be posting net profit from the fiscal third-quarter onwards. We will have a full-fiscal net profit in FY‘12. We are looking at adding 3.5 million subscribers this fiscal," a senior executive had earlier told Indiantelevision.com.
