Casbaa honours Peter Jackson

MUMBAI: AsiaSat executive chairman Peter Jackson has been presented the Lifetime Contribution Award 2010 by the Cable and Satellite Broadcasters Association of Asia (Casbaa) in recognition of his long-time commitment to the development of Asia’s pay-TV and communications industries.

Before stepping down from the Casbaa board of directors at its Annual General Meeting on 28 October, Jackson had served on the Casbaa board for more than a dozen years and had been treasurer since 2001.

“Almost since the inception of the Asian pay-TV industry in the early 1990s Peter Jackson has provided strong leadership, market insights and cultural sensitivity with an unfailing sense of humour,” said Casbaa chairman Marcel Fenez.
