MUMBAI: Arun Dutt, son of the deceased actor-filmmaker Guru Dutt, has launched the Guru Dutt Films Acting Academy in memory of his father in Pune.

The acting school will be conducting both full time and weekend courses for students wanting to take acting as a career.

 
All the acting sessions would be shot on camera so that the students become camera friendly from the day they start. Among the curriculum, there is also a film appreciation course in which some of Guru Dutt‘s classics like Pyaasa, Kaagaz Ke Phool and Sahib, Biwi aur Ghulam would be talked about in detail.

Dutt is working in tandem with the National Film Archive of India to restore some classics of Indian cinema including some of his father‘s great works.
