MUMBAI: Producer Subhash Dawar of Alliance Entertainment and Nitin Shankar of Rythm D‘vine Entertainment have decided to release Asha Bhosle‘s debut Hindi film Maaee on 7 October.
Maaee talks about a woman who is abandoned by her only son after which she goes to live with her daughter and son-in-law. The film shows how her daughter looks after her, ultimately proving that she is more than a son.
Initially scheduled to be completed in 40 days, director Mahesh Kodiyal finished shooting in a record 30 days as he had an “extremely efficient production and rechnical team” at his disposal.
"Bhosle was a one-shot actress and that made work easy for us,”
relates Kodityal.
Maaee also stars Padmini Kolhapure, Ram Kapoor, Navin Kaushik, Anupam Kher and Shivani Joshi.
