Bond 23 to be shot in Mumbai

MUMBAI: James Bond’s newest venture, Bond 23, is to be shot in and around Mumbai.

Director Sam Mendes recently visited the city along with production designer Terry Bamber to scout locations in the city. The film will be shot in Mumbai and Goa during the monsoon season on a month-long schedule.

Produced by India Take One, this would be the second James Bond film to be shot in India. It may be recalled that Octopussy was shot in India way back in 1983.

Some recent films that have been shot or are being shot in India are Christopher Nolan‘s The Dark Knight Rises, Ang Lee‘s Life Of Pi, Brad Bird‘s Mission Impossible-Ghost Protocol and Michael Winterbottom‘s Trishna.
