Bengali film Chhatrak to screen at Cannes

MUMBAI:Bengali film Chhatrak (Mushrooms), directed by Sri Lankan filmmaker Vimukhti Jayasundara, will be screened at the Cannes Directors Fortnight.

The Indo-France movie, produced by Bappaditya Bandopadhyay, is Jayasundara’s third feature film. His debut film The Forsaken Land had
won the Camera d’Or for best debut feature at the Cannes in 2005.

25 other films eligible to compete for Camera d’Or will also be screened in the section.
