MUMBAI: A screening of Shyam Benegal‘s Well Done Abba saw the relaunch of an Indian cinema club.
Set in rural India, the film revolves around the bureaucratic corruption and how a group of villagers led by a young idealistic girl manage to combat it.
Well Done Abba stars Sammir Dattani, Minissha Lamba and Boman Irani among others.
The screening was followed by a discussion by Nadia Gradini, an Egyptian expert on Indian movies.
The Maulana Azad Centre for Indian Culture (MACIC), which has been screening Indian films in Egypt twice a week, was instrumental for the relaunch.
