Den Q3 net up 19% at Rs 92 mn

MUMBAI: Sameer Manchanda-promoted Den Networks has posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 92 million during the three-month period ended 31 December 2010. This is 19 per cent higher than a net profit of Rs 77 million the multi-system operator had posted in the year-ago period.

The MSO, however, has seen a marginal fall in its net profit as compared to the prior quarter’s figure of Rs 105 million.
 
Total income during the quarter rose 13 per cent to Rs 2.68 billion, as against Rs 2.37 billion a year ago. The income is up 4.56 per cent on QoQ basis (Rs 2.56 billion).

Meanwhile, expenditure rose 13 per cent to Rs 2.36 billion compared to Rs 2.09 billion in the earlier year. 
 
Ebitda was at Rs 325 million, up 13 per cent per cent from Rs 287 million in the year. However, the second quarter Ebitda was at Rs 365 million.

Den said that has been gearing up to take on the task of digitalising its entire household base. It has invested in creating the infrastructure needed to support millions of digital households across its markets.
