A true story of a headstrong woman who made sure her voice was heard

&PrivéHD

MUMBAI: &PrivéHD, is set to premiere ‘The Best Of Enemies’ on Saturday, 11 January 2020 at 1 PM and 9 PM. ‘The Best Of Enemies’ is an untold story based on the real-life journey of an American civil rights activist Ann Atwater against an American segregationist C.P. Ellis. Ann Atwater is a woman who made sure her voice was heard. Fearless, outspoken and unabashed are words that aptly describe her. Available with the Zee Prime English HD Pack, the premium destination of nuanced cinema showcases this inspiring tale that serves as a gentle reminder that all it takes is a dialogue to change the world and make it a better place.

‘The Best Of Enemies’, a touching story directed by Robin Bissell, is a timely drama starring Academy Award nominee Taraji P. Henson as Ann Atwater and Academy Award winner Sam Rockwell as C.P. Ellis in breath-taking performances. The film centres on the unlikely relationship between Henson, an outspoken civil rights activist, and Rockwell, a local Ku Klux Klan leader. Set against the racially charged summer of 1971 in Durham, North Carolina, the movie features the two who reluctantly co-chair a community summit, battling over the de-segregation of schools where the resulting majority vote would determine the fate of East Durham’s students. With the incredible events that unfold, Durham and the lives of Atwater and Ellis are changed forever.
