ESPN Star Sports (ESS) will showcase the two test series between New Zealand and Zimbabwe as a part of their coverage of the African Safari from 7 August 2005. New Zealand will kick off their tour to Zimbabwe with two test matches followed by a tri-series from 24 August 2005 involving New Zealand, Zimbabwe and India. India later will play the hosts in a two test match series starting on 13 September 2005.

New Zealand will bank on big players like Jacob Oram, Daniel Vettori, Scott Styris and most importantly Shane Bond who is returning from
injury. Zimbabwe have recalled Stuart Carlisle, Craig Wishart, Andy Blingnaut and vice-captain, Heath Streak.
