Tata Sky removes lock-in period

The one day lock-in period will remain for Tata Sky Services

Tata Sky

MUMBAI: The leading DTH operator Tata Sky has removed the lock-in period on all of its channels and channel packs. Following the move, subscribers would be able to freely add and drop channels without worrying about the lock-in period. However, the one day lock-in period will remain for Tata Sky Services.

Due to the change, curated packs, add-ons and broadcaster packs will also not come under any lock-in period.  Under the new policy, subscribers will not pay for a channel if they subscribe to it for a day and then remove it from their subscription.

Only Tata Sky Bollywood will come with a 30-day lock-in period. Another DTH operator Dish TV announced the introduction of the lock-in period for the channels which was later withdrawn.
