Go Finger Inkin’ Good - says KFC India this election season

Urges consumers to ‘Make their voice heard, and their vote count’

KFC India

MUMBAI: KFC India is no longer saying ‘Finger Lickin’ Good’. Yes, you heard that right. The brand is instead asking consumers to go ‘Finger Inkin’ Good’ during the General Elections of 2019. Aimed at creating awareness around the importance of voting, especially for first time voters, Finger Inkin’ Good reminds millennials the power every single vote holds.

Taking about this initiative, Moksh Chopra, Chief Marketing Officer, KFC India, says “Our iconic tagline of ‘Finger Lickin’ Good’ is an integral part of the brand’s identity. For once we are urging our consumers to get their fingers inked instead of getting finger lickin’. With this small but significant edit in brand communication, we want to show consumers how a small change can make a huge difference. We hope millennials will be encouraged to make their voice heard and their vote count.”

Leading through a digital campaign, the brand will be nudging consumers to do their bit through communication on their social channels. As part of this campaign, there will also be tent-cards with an embedded scan QR code placed across all KFC restaurants in the country. On scanning the code, they will be directed to a link on their mobile phones that will give them relevant information around voting. Users can also share their Finger Inkin’ Good moments on the brand’s social media channels, to encourage friends and fellow voters through Facebook and Instagram.
