MUMBAI: Global e-commerce giant, Amazon is consolidating its global media planning and buying duties with IPG Mediabrands network after an internal business review.
IPG Mediabrands will promote Amazon’s e-commerce hub, its in-house technology products and Amazon Prime subscription around the world.
Amazon’s annual global budget exceeds $1 billion, whereas the account size for the e-commerce giant here in India is over $150 million which includes its spends across all mediums.
The review’s final round saw a Publicis Media conglomerate face off against a “holistic solution” group consisting of teams drawn from multiple IPG agencies including Initiative, as reported by adweek.
Kantar Media recently reported that in 2016, Amazon spent more than $950 Million in the US on measured media.
