MUMBAI: This December, AXN is all set to premiere the Movie Event of the Year with Kung Fu Hustle. The movie will be aired for the first time on television on 15 December at 9 pm.

Kung Fu Hustle is produced and directed by Asia's popular comedy star, Stephen Chow. The movie was a box office sensation across Asia. In Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia, and the Philippines, the movie achieved the "best opening weekend" of all time for a Chinese movie.

Recently, the movie also swept away five Golden Horse Awards, clinching the crowns for Best Picture, Best Director - Stephen Chow, Best Supporting Actress - Yuen Qiu, Best Make Up and Costume Design and Best Visual Effects.
