MUMBAI: Americans may be passionate about baseball but that does not stop the International cricket Council (ICC) from spreading cricket in US!
The ICC is presently on the lookout for a cricket CEO for USA. The CEO's primary objective will be to facilitate the staging of triangular ODI tourneys in the next two years.
The CEO will have to convince prime cricket boards of ICC about the viability of playing the game in the US. Then he will oversee other matters like venues and managing third-party contracts.
The CEO will also look into sponsorship deals and other income generation regarding the proposed cricket events. He will report to a USA Cricket Special Project sub-committee.
The closing date for applications for the post is 30 April 2004. For further information visit www.icc.cricket.org.
