MUMBAI: Come 20 March and Mumbais Gateway of India will be all set to witness the clash of two political bigwigs Pramod Mahajan (BJP) and Shivraj Patil (Congress), who will debate on India as an Economic Superpower, and its current position in the global economic scenario.

Kyun Sune Aap Ki, this hour-long debate has been organised by Aaj Tak, and will be aired live on the channel between 10.11 pm on Saturday. This will be the first in a series of live, on screen debates, and will mark a major milestone in the run-up to the General Elections. The programme will also demonstrate the ideologies of the two parties and throw light on issues that may play a major role in the elections.

Moderated by anchors Prabhu Chawla and Ashutosh, the programme will bring to fore various issues that either hinder or aid India in its rise to become an economic superpower. The audience who will be a witness to the clash of the titans will include leading public faces, members of the local community, and representatives of a cross section of the society, apart from a panel of local intelligentsia that will take active part in the whole debate.
