MUMBAI: National Geographic Channel is launching a new show that takes viewers across borders to track down fugitives and bring criminals to justice in Nat Geo Investigates.
:Starting 14 March, the show will air every weeknight at 10 pm and detail crimes and disasters that have tested the limits of law enforcers and investigators around the world including India.
Among the subjects "Nat Geo Investigates" will cover include the life and crimes of the notorious serial killer Charles Sobhraj as well as the the tension and the pressure in the cockpit of the ill-fated Concorde flight that crashed killing 113 people.
Nat Geo Investigates gives viewers an inside look at at crimes and disasters that have captured our imaginations in the recent past,said Dilshad Master, Senior VP, Content and Communications, National Geographic Channel.These movie-like one hour formats, reconstruct the entire experience from an eyewitness or investigators perspective. Re- enactments, advanced computer graphics, eye witness accounts and expert testimony make the experience realistic and as thrilling as a movie.
Throughout this series, the investigative feel is brought to life by recreating the chain of events that lead to these disasters and crimes. From serial killers who took advantage of the conflicting international extradition laws to disasters like mid air collisions and bombings, Nat Geo Investigates gives viewers a chance to understand the hows and whys of various human tragedies & disasters from around the world over.
